Product Description
The Josephine is a thick, plush shag rug with a lively tribal pattern. It shows off cream diamond shapes over vertical stripes in rust, terracotta, yellow, light blue, and black. Short tassel fringe lines the top and bottom ends for a relaxed bohemian touch. The deep three-quarter-inch pile is machine made from polypropylene, giving it a soft feel underfoot that holds up well to everyday household traffic.
Use it in a living room paired with a tan leather sofa, or place it in a bedroom over light wood floors. The warm, multicolored palette also fits right into an eclectic family room or den.
Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing.
- Apply a carpet cleaner or mild detergent solution for stains.
- Use a soft brush to work the cleaner into the fibers gently.
- Allow the rug to air dry completely.
